We are proud to announce that Laura Braghieri, Senior Project Engineer at BEE, is the first person to be an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) in mainland China. As an engineer with a master’s degree from the Politecnico di Milano in Sustainable Buildings and Infrastructure, she has a deep knowledge of sustainable construction strategies, and she is an expert in the sustainability issues associated with the construction materials, mainly about the raw materials, processing, recycling, and lifecycle environmental impacts. Now, with this credential, she aims to target not only buildings, but also to implement sustainable strategies in infrastructure projects.
What is Envision?
Envision is a sustainability framework and certification rating system administered by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI). It aims to help the AEC industry implement sustainability strategies into infrastructure projects which most of the times are disregarded despite its huge impact in our lives. This rating system encourage different stakeholders involved in a project to ask two simple questions: “Are we doing the right project?” and, “Are we doing the project right?”.
